You may already heard about the earth quake with richter scale of 7.9 happens at Sichuan on Monday. The devastating quake was centered in Wenchuan County, 159 kilometers northwest of Chengdu, Sichuan’s capital.
According to recent news, due to the rescuers may not able to reach the site earlier, many people can’t be save in time and it’s believe the death toll may increase to 50,000.
From the news, lots of small town is covered by landslide, out of 20,000 people in the town only 2000 of people is survive- you can see how serious is this earthquake- and some of the town is flooded with the highest building with ‘7 floor’ get flooded as well.
Sichuan’s survivor may also facing danger of flood due to damage of dam nearby. Two-thousands of soldier are fighting to fix the modern Zipingpu dam upriver from the earthquake-stricken town of Dujiangyan to prevent the burst. While local news talks about the sending of lots of helicopter to the scene to drop emergency supplies, digging and help find the survivor buried beneath the rubble. Main traffic to the site already been broken by landslide, telecommunication have been cut off, the survivor only able to help themself of wait for the help from soldier. A team of professional emergency relief team from Japan left for Chengdu, Sichuan’s provincial capital, to provide medical help to the survivor.
